MADELYNNE CORNISH
Bogong Centre for Sound Culture Main St, Bogong Village
“Madelynne’s immersive sound and video projects give voice to landscapes – revealing climate shifts, human impact, and the raw wonder of place.”
Madelynne Cornish is a sound artist, videographer, researcher, and curator whose practice explores the impact of climate on both natural and built environments, as well as the consequences of human activity on the natural world. Her fieldwork spans remote regions including the Kimberley in Western Australia, Finland, and the Victorian High Plains, where she employs advanced audio technologies to document environmental change and human influence, offering new insights into ecological conditions. Through immersive installations combining sonic and visual media, she fosters awareness and encourages dialogue around landscapes, climate, and ecological transformation.
Based in North East Victoria, Cornish is the co-founder and Operations Director of the Bogong Centre for Sound Culture (B–CSC)—an arts initiative dedicated to exploring the history and ecology of the Australian Alps and Kiewa Valley.
