Cluey Suey is a Townsville based artist with close family in Tawonga. We currently float between the two places. She’s a self taught artist who has been creating all her life. Paper is her medium of choice, whether it’s sketching, collaging or paper macheing.
Cluey Suey’s art has a whimsical quirky nature to it. Creative play is her daily practice. She’s completed two 100 day projects. This format is ideal for creative accountability and opens the mind to unforeseen possibilities.
Cluey Suey loves sketching faces, often using her non dominant hand or blind contouring for her own amusement. Faces and other Portrait Artist’s work are a source of inspiration for her. In 2026 Cluey Suey will be entering Townsville’s ‘The Percivals’ with a portrait of her 90 year old Mum and a pet portrait of her free range street dog. The creative future for Cluey Suey looks bright.
